Respect for human rights, for the environment and for local cultural practices and our commitment to the highest standards of ethical business practice provide the fundamental framework of our CSR Principles. We expect our employees to demonstrate their commitment to these Principles and to conduct all business with integrity.
We recognise that the success of our business is dependent upon the long-term economic viability and sustainability of the cocoa, coffee and financial services industries and of our suppliers and customers.
Armajaro is committed to improving the livelihoods of cocoa and coffee growers and their families. Through our presence in origin countries, we actively invest in and support a wide range of agronomic and educational programmes that assist growers to improve their profitability and working conditions.
The challenges facing the cocoa and coffee communities are complex and often interconnected. While no single company or organisation can succeed alone in addressing these challenges, we work closely with governments, NGOs and industry partners to help deliver global and local programmes that bring about real change to improve the wellbeing of growers and their families.
Armajaro is a member of the World Cocoa Foundation (WCF), The International Cocoa Organisation (ICCO), the Rainforest Alliance, UTZ (UTZ) and the Common Code for the Coffee Community (4C). Through our membership of the European Cocoa Association we support the International Cocoa Initiative (ICI). To see details of some of the Projects we are involved with click here.
The Armajaro Foundation, established in 2001, directly supports local community projects.
